Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Protelynx Bio, Inc. ("Protelynx," "we," "us," or "our") provides an agentic bioinformatics platform, related websites, APIs, software, and support services (collectively, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains our practices when you use the Services, create an account, communicate with us, or enroll in an SMS program we operate, including the BuildBid account-notification program.

This policy applies to personal information. Research inputs, protein or molecular data, and other business content may not identify a person, but we protect and process that content as described here and in our Terms of Service or an applicable customer agreement.

2. Information we collect

We collect information directly from you, automatically when you use the Services, from an organization that manages your account, and from providers you direct us to connect.

3. How we use information

• Provide, operate, maintain, and support the Services.
• Authenticate users, manage workspaces, and enforce permissions.
• Process requested workflows and deliver results, reports, and notifications.
• Meter usage, process payments, administer subscriptions, and prevent fraud.
• Monitor reliability, debug failures, secure the Services, and prevent misuse.
• Understand product usage and improve features, performance, and user experience.
• Respond to questions and send administrative, security, and service communications.
• Comply with law, enforce agreements, and protect users, Protelynx, and others.

4. How we disclose information

We may disclose information in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers. Vendors that provide hosting, authentication, storage, analytics, payments, communications, model inference, security, and support. They may process information only to perform services for us and subject to applicable contractual or legal obligations.
• Your organization and directions. Workspace owners, administrators, collaborators, integrations, and other recipients you authorize.
• Legal and safety reasons. When reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process, enforce our agreements, investigate abuse, or protect rights, safety, and security.
• Business transactions. In connection with financing, due diligence, a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. The separate, stricter rule for mobile information and SMS consent appears in Section 6 below.

5. AI and service providers

Depending on your configuration and requested workflow, the Services may process information through providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Biohub, Hugging Face, or Modal. We use Railway for cloud hosting, Supabase for authentication and related data services, Stripe for billing, Twilio for messaging, and Google Analytics or PostHog for configured analytics. A particular provider is involved only when enabled or needed for the feature you use.

Workflow content may be sent to an AI or compute provider to perform the operation you request. Review provider and workspace settings before submitting confidential or regulated information. When you connect your own provider account or key, that provider's terms and privacy practices also apply to its processing.

Protelynx does not use Customer Content to train general-purpose foundation models unless the customer expressly agrees in writing. We do not permit analytics events to include raw sequences, structures, molecules, prompt text, report bodies, or credentials.

6. SMS messaging

Protelynx Bio, Inc. operates the BuildBid SMS program for authorized account administrators. The program sends non-marketing account and internal operational notifications, which may include task and deployment results, queue-processing summaries, account alerts, and service-status updates.

You enroll from your own mobile device by texting START to +1 317-315-5284. Consent applies only to this program and is not a condition of purchasing a product or service. Message frequency varies based on account activity and may include multiple messages in a day when events occur. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Mobile information non-sharing commitment

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers, text messaging originator opt-in data, or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We may disclose this information only to vendors that help us operate the messaging program—such as Twilio, telecommunications carriers, and messaging aggregators—when required by law, or when you direct us to do so. SMS consent is specific to Protelynx Bio, Inc. and the BuildBid program and is not transferable to another business.

7. Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies and similar storage for authentication, security, session continuity, and user preferences. When configured, Google Analytics and PostHog help us understand page and feature usage. Those tools may receive online identifiers, device information, approximate location derived from IP address, and event metadata. We do not intentionally send them Customer Content or sensitive workflow payloads.

You can use browser controls to block or delete cookies, but essential features may stop working. We respond to legally required privacy preference signals where applicable.

8. Data retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain an account, complete transactions, preserve security and audit records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Retention depends on the information type, workspace settings, contractual commitments, and whether an account is persistent or ephemeral. Backup copies and records required for legal or security purposes may remain for a limited period after deletion.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls and encryption for supported stored credentials and sensitive artifacts. No transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; or appeal a decision about a privacy request. You may also update account information, manage workspace settings, disconnect integrations, opt out of non-essential communications, and control cookies through your browser.

Send requests to founder@protelynx.ai. We may need to verify your identity and authority. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

10. Other privacy information

Children

The Services are intended for business and research users age 18 or older. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information to us.

International processing

We and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries whose data-protection laws differ from those where you live. Where required, we use appropriate mechanisms for international transfers.

Policy changes

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the Services, law, or our practices. We will post the revised policy with a new last-updated date and provide additional notice when required.
